Polish immigrants- are they good for the USA?

Now, here may be an interesting topic but I have noticed, especially in Western Europe, of a major Polish migration. (or other Eastern European, sometimes Romanian?) Recently, in the USA, we have gotten our own recent influx of Polish immigrants. But I am wondering if a broader influx would be beneficial?

Would it be better for our country (USA) for these Polish immigrants to become Americans? Maybe it would be the biggest migration into the USA since Ireland's Potato famine. The Polish seem hard-working and would be a great add to the working class, especially to help patch up the economy. (We won't have to worry about Mexicans taking our jobs without reason, all-the-while only doing only a half-assed job..)

I would invite Polish and even other Europeans to comment on this.

I would welcome Polish immigrants.

This might not be a far-fetched idea if Trump wins the presidency. He's said he prefers European immigrants, and that our immigration policies should prefer them.

As long as they become legalized citizens. I say that of anyone regardless of ethnicity. And based on my interactions with Poles and what I've read about them, the Polish are very intelligent.

Thanks. I actually am seeing a Polish female right now and she is very smart. They are people that are very to-the-point. I would see them as a great addition to this country. Poles usually don't do well in Western European countries because those countries are not very applicable to the Polish work ethic, which I think for them is more enriching if they come to the USA. Polish people are stern and to the point. (kind of like the old Germans, before their Boomer generation became self hating PC wimps. The problem with Germans is that they are too afraid to accept working class kind of politics, out of fear of being branded a racist. Think- Adolf Hitler.)

The Polish appreciate hard-work and working class jobs. This is the ethic of what the USA was built on, primarily. (usually, in general, Americans and Polish operate more on a non-socialist kind of thing. This is what I have noticed. (The Polish and Americans also prize individuality and independence, most the time. This is what Canada, most of Europe and even right-wing Russians seem to lack.)

Germans used to be like this, too. (which, I appreciate) but now they are fixated more on destructive left-wing ideas, and are focusing more on redeeming or proving themselves to the world because of Hitler, that they are not evil Nazi's.

I like Polish people, they are machines. While at the same time, a very warm and down to Earth people. Polish women are very very strong women.

There already are a dozen or so millions of Polish-Americans living in the USA. Most of them came between 1854 and 1924 but there have also been few more recent waves of Polish immigration, and several Polish families had been present already in Jamestown since 1608. Next to British, Irish, German, French and Italian, Polish is consistently scoring among the top six most frequently reported European ancestries in all U.S. censuses.
