Who is saying that? Even Generalissimo said "migrants from across the Eastern Mediterranean" and didn't claim it was all or mostly Levantine. IIRC most people leaning this way were looking at the...
Yeah, I'm sure this modern sample of 13 is a great indication of the genetic profile of the Avestan period. I regret replying to you already, bye.
Because n=13? As you know the Yazd Zoroastrians (n=34) in the same study had 18% R1a.
Myres et al (2011), "A major Y chromosome haplogroup R1b founder effect in Central and Western Europe". The Iranian samples are from Regueiro et al (2006), "Iran: tricontinental nexus for...
I have no idea what you were trying to prove in the first place, but next time read the paper instead of jumping to conclusions. If they had tested Z93 they would have said so. This is a scientific...
You certainly cannot assume that a certain subclade is excluded. You have to look at the SNPs that were actually tested, and Z93 is not one of them.
What does that have to do with Z93?
That study doesn't have Z93 on the list of tested SNPs, and the wiki page for Lurs doesn't say that either.
Where did you get the information about R1a subclades in Lurs? Sounds interesting.
E-M81 has clearly had a huge and quite recent expansion which must have diluted everything else around at the time. But it isn't easy to tell what was around before E-M81 and what has arrived later....
The Taforalt men (Morocco 14-15 000 years ago) all had E-M35 and they were modelled as about half (maybe less) Ancestral North African and half (maybe more) West Eurasian. A likely scenario is that...
Both Natufian CTs were E1b1b according to Genetiker (could be wrong but probably not). The T and H2 are from Pre-Pottery Neolithic thousands of years later and with more Anatolian-type ancestry. At...
All of Natufian Y DNA was CT. All non-Sub-Saharan African ancient Y DNA everywhere has been CT.
What kind of evidence would you expect to find if Gothic were from Scandinavia?
Hardly anyone buys into Vennemann's Atlantic substrate theory, though, so it seems like those thousands of words don't count for much.
Germanic in Iraq is certainly novel.
It doesn't have a radiocarbon date listed, so yeah it could be a later burial that ended up in early layers AFAICT.
Why Akkadian specifically? These seem generally Semitic.
Eye and ear are Indo-European, so you'd need to go back a lot further for those (Nostratic or something). Bomhard reconstructs a Nostratic...
According to Herodotus, the Persians required any government decision made while sober to be confirmed while drunk, and any made while drunk to be confirmed while sober. I think this is a sound...
Pretty widespread across the world and back into prehistory. Skulls are pretty malleable so I doubt it would mess up your brain. But boy is it weird.

Yes, in the paper with Y STRs the Avar N clustered with Buryats, so it'll be Turko-Mongolic N-F4205. ("Genetic insights into the social organization of the Avar period elite in the 7th century AD...
You can use Global 25 nMonte Runner online - paste your coordinates into the Test Pops coordinates slot, and choose up to 4 references from those provided. Or you can download R and nMonte and run it...
Let's try scaled Global25 on Iberia Bell Beaker (with steppe); it's surely not gospel, but it's something.
HG sources going eastward from Iberia:
68% Iberia CA, 19% El Miron, 13% Iberia N, 0%...
The Basal-rich K7 calculator estimates how much you descend from major ancestral groups that lived in the distant past, back in the Ice Age.
The Global25 coordinates are your position in 25...
If Nilo-Saharan is a real family at all it's surely much older than the arrival of R1b-V88, whether that was Neolithic or later. Arab influence covers an enormous area, it's bound to overlap with...
