When I have some spare cash built up, I may take the 23andMe ancestry test just to see how it compares to LivingDNA.

Have you signed up for the Family Networks? I did, but when I clicked on the button to check it, I got 404 - We Are Currently Moving Our Site.
Excuse my ignorance, is that the same as the so-called, "Little Scots Group"?
That's a bold statement to make. Maciamo seems to regard LivingDNA quite highly.
Interesting. Thank you.
There can be only one!
Sorry for the delay in replying. Yeah, my father was the first of his family in generations to born outside Aberdeen. I haven't looked at FamilyTreeDNA yet.
Indeed. According to LivingDNA Coverage Map, the highest percentage of my Fatherline is found in Ireland(60%). Second highest is shared between Scotland, Wales and Brittany, all at 50%.
So...
Also, the Scandinavian DNA only shows up in my Complete results. In Standard and Cautious versions it simply reads, "unassigned"
Yeah, I'd honestly never even heard of Chusvashia until I read this thread.
Yeah, I was joking about that. According to my results, the Scandinavian DNA goes back at least 10 generations, but that's only 250 years. I'm pretty sure the Norwegians had stopped the whole rape...
Thanks for the link. It's probably not connected, but one of the things I noticed about my regional breakdown is that the highest percentage of my Family Ancestry(21.4%)is in Northwest Scotland. But...
Good question, and one I've been trying to find an answer to myself since I received my LivingDNA results
Great Britain and Ireland: 95.5%
Scandinavia: 4.5%
I love the Vikings as much as the...
Thanks for replying, John. I'll look into testing with FTDNA.
Interesting. @Maciamo, what is your take on this?
I wasn't aware of that.
I must admit, I'm surprised LivingDNA test to such low percentages. I am 95.5% British/Irish, and 4.5% Scandinavian. Such a tiny percentage of my DNA coming from Scandinavia is, I would have thought,...
Interesting thread. I really want to read what Maciamo thinks about this.
Hi,
Since Maciamo thinks so highly of LivingDNA, I decided to give them a try. My results are as follows,
YDNA: R-L21, Subclade S3058.
MtDNA: H69
My family ancestry shows that I am 95.5%...
I just received my LivingDNA results. My Fatherline is L21 and my Subclade is R-S3058. Unfortunately, LivingDNA didn't provide any information on this Subclade, apart from the fact that it is...
Hi,
I recently bought the Chromo 2 test from ScotlandsDNA. My mtDNA result is H69. While H is obviously one of the most widespread of mtDNA Groups, H69 seems to be much rarer. Indeed, I have been...
Thank you for replying. I've ordered the test, and will post my results.
Hell yeah - make me a Superhero!
(Supervillain is cool too:evil_angry: )
Nobody move - I'm hijacking this Thread!
Since no one answered the Thread I started, I will shamelessly derail this one: has anyone used BritainsDNA Chromo2, and if so, what was their results?
I received an email from BritainsDNA; my EthnoAncestry results have been moved to their site after they absorbed EA. I was offered an upgrade to Chromo2 for a reduced price of £149.
Has anyone...
