    New map of Y-gaplogroup G2a-L497

Thanks for the map Mr. Hay! Something about G2a-L497 now... G2a2b2a1a1b-L497 is about 10.000 years old. This is the largest European subgroup, to which half of the European G, belongs. It seems that G-L497, which is one of the most "European" of haplogroups, spread out from Western Anatolia...

    New map of Y-gaplogroup G2a-L497

If L497 makes 80% of all G's in Austra (where G is 7,5%) then this map with 5-6% for Austria is good. :good_job:

Great job! Waiting for L497/Z1816 map. :) Few weeks ago I created an map for 3 most common G2a branches in Europe and neighborhood countries.

The genomic history of southeastern Europe-Mathiesen et al

It's pretty interesting that I1927 sample tested as a G-L42 scored a highest Yamnaya % in autosomal genetics of all Cucuteni-Trypillian samples. By the end of the 6th 151 millennium BCE, agriculture had reached eastern Europe, in the form of the Cucuteni-Trypillian complex in the area of...

    Greek Y-DNA in Italians

Problem with M406 and generally all aDNA G2a samples in Europe are because there is not tested sample under the G2a2 L30. Also, M406 has a too low frequence in Europe. It's highest in Greece, Sicily and western Turkey, what means that M406 pass as a candidate for Greek colonization of Europe...

    Greek Y-DNA in Italians

M406 is not European Neolithic haplogroup. First, because of it's time of origin, and second because of it's geographic distribution. M406 probably entered Europe and it's spreaded by ancient Greek colonies. Second, biggest % of M406 are there: Dagestani 18,5 Israeli Druze 8,1% Greeks from...

Mountain communities in Central Italy: A genetic insight

R1b 24% - typical for Italy. J2a and G2a more than 10%, that's pretty interesting (Etruscans?) E1b (17-18%), high percent even for Italy. 6% of J2b2 M241 - connection with Balkans during the history? I1 13% I2a Dinaric lower than 1%, same as R1a (1.27%). T is quite common for Central...

Southern Neolithic route brought Megaliths from the Levant to Western Europe

Bolded, exactly that. We need more aDNA samples from Balkan Neolithic, (Balkan was been main route for Anatolian farmers to the Central Europe) as we can see for now, main haplogroup of first European Neolithic farmers was been G2a.

Southern Neolithic route brought Megaliths from the Levant to Western Europe

I think it's more logical that E1b1b entered Europe across Iberia (we have aDNA sample from Catalonia, 5000 BCE) and Sicily, and then continued to spread all over the Southern Europe and Balkans. Then, with Roman empire expansion it's spreaded to north/central Europe and Levant, mainly by...
