Your Haplogroup (are you pleased or disappointed with it?)

I agree. He does look of mixed race descent. He has a deep voice. But then all Eurasians who have at least Y-DNA haplogroups A, B, and E and MtDNA L anywhere in there ancestry autosomally or not must be of mixed race descent over thousands of years. My theory is that curly and wavy hair...

Your Haplogroup (are you pleased or disappointed with it?)

That is a rather biased theory coming from a scientist. Bryan Sykes' was also a bit biased with his "The Seven Daughters of Eve" (he, himself belonging to one of the major haplogroups - Tara). You're obviously meaning that people with rare DNA are not biologically good enough as people with...

I believe Madonna has been possibly reading this forum or maybe other DNA forums because she has named her tour MDNA and according to Bella magazine: BELLA MAGAZINE

Your Haplogroup (are you pleased or disappointed with it?)

Why would you have an "irrational fear" about that? exotic and rare haplogroups are interesting.

mtDNA N1a, how rare are we?

Wow, another rare haplogroup! They are my favourites. M, N and R aren't rare as a whole worldwide , it depends on their branches (subclades) like for example, N1a or R0a, etc. I, W and X and probably N1a seem to be strongest in mountainous countries, perhaps that's how they survived...

    Haplogroup Charts

Does anyone know if there are any websites that have haplogroup percentage charts of all different countries worldwide or even ethnic groups? I find them very fascinating Here's an example: http://www.jogg.info/32/mertens_files/image002.gif

Identifying the original Indo-European mtDNA from isolated settlements

Here's three possibilities: 1. The Silk Road 2. The Ottoman Empire 3. The Magyars also haplogroup mtDNA F has been found in Hvar Island. With all due respect, I wouldn't consider Haplogroup M as Middle Eastern. It's more of an South Asian, East Asian and Horn African Haplogroup.

Your Haplogroup (are you pleased or disappointed with it?)

My best friend and I planned to have our mtDNA done together. While we awaited our results, I was hoping I'd be a rare uncomman haplogroup and my friend didn't mind which one she would be. Rather ironically, when we recieved our results it turned I am U5a - Ursula (one of the most comman...

    MtDNA Haplogroups I and W

Personally, I think haplogroup Iris people seem to be quite uniquely good looking, well my friend and her relatives certainly are. The females in particular seem to have very feminine delicate features. Dr Alice Roberts is haplogroup I she has delicate features. The Lemkos look similar to Laz...

Wow, that's a lot! Then perhaps I'm wrong about the having more sons part. It's a mystery though why Iris and Wilma seem to be minority haplogroups.

Not necessarily. Beauty's in the eye of the beholder or alternatively people for thousands of years had arranged marriages.

Lower male voices linked to lower sperm quality

So it seems, from what I've read in this thread, the older the Y-DNA haplogroup the deeper the voice? Some women have deep voices how do you explain that? Evolutionary tree of Human Y-chromosome DNA (Y-DNA) haplogroups most recent common Y-ancestor A A1b A1a-T...
