I’ve managed to trace my G line back to 16th c. All indications they moved South in Greece from the NW (Epirus) much earlier as sheepherders living in remote mountainous regions. I’m mildly convinced that remnants of G in the Balkans could be Neolithic survivors.

I always get a minor Caucasus component in these runs. Wondering if it may have to do with shared CHG between mainland Greeks and Caucasus people.

There's a really good poster on Anthrogenica (Moriopoulos) that's from my hometown. He's really tuned in. I think he's super authentic without a superfluous agenda.
