Hello,
I finally got around to getting my 23andMe test done and have some questions.
My Paternal Haplogroup is R-L48.
My father is Portuguese, but googling R-L48 people are talking about Germanic origins.
Looking at the ancestry data from 23andMe it says I most likely have a French/German...
I'm finding it bizarre how the media has created it's own fictional narrative for the election result. Everyone is in hysteria about this rise of the Alternative Right and that the result is a 'whitelash'. If anyone wants to take the time to actually look at the statistics for how people voted...
Thought I'd hi-jack this thread as it seemed a bit over the top to create a new one for a couple of questions.
I had a DNA test bought for me as a gift a few months ago and recently got the results back, from what I've read on the site I think I know the answers to most of my questions but...
We still worship the money... I mean the Bull today.
"Charging Bull, which is sometimes referred to as the Wall Street Bull or the Bowling Green Bull, is a 3,200-kilogram (7,100 lb) bronze sculpture by Arturo Di Modica that stands in Bowling Green Park near Wall Street in Manhattan, New York...
In many ways democracy is a just a kind of rolling dictatorship.
Most countries have a few parties that are pretty much set in stone and 2-3 parties that take 80% of the vote.
While these parties change leaders they are rarely challenged in power by outside organisations (eg protest parties)...
To make the point that Aryan theory is scientifically unfounded is to miss the point.
The theory was pure propaganda to give the German people the mandate to justify their aggression against other racial or ethnic groups.
How much of what modern politicians today say is actually true, why do...
The media are calling this a military coup, but from what I can see you need a change of power for that to happen. In reality all the army did was remove Mubarak, then entered into a farce. They thought they could hold elections and then use the president as a puppet. Obviously Morsi wasn't...
"It was three a.m. Longwood House was quiet and still.
The dark-clad man held his candle over the open crate of bottles. He removed one, looked at the label — Vin d'Empereur — and with a gloved hand wiped away the thin layer of dust. Carefully, he extracted the cork. From his jacket pocket, he...
That's all you need to know, end of argument. People like to pretend governments make countries what they are but in truth it's the people.
The idea that all these immigrants from 3rd world countries just show up in Western countries and integrate seamlessly is nonsense, they bring all the...
Gibraltar row: Spain 'can't trust' UK, official says.

Who's right?
Is Spain breaking the law with excessive border checks and threatening border fees, or has the UK crossed a line building artificial reefs on what is rightfully Spanish territory:innocent:?
Is this just another crack in the EU.

Of course I believe in Aliens, I'm one of them.
All those that believe in our existence will be hunted down for sport :petrified: we'll give you a 3 day start. RUN!
Is democracy overrated?
Democracy is championed as a universal good by the West, but we over-estimate its power to guarantee personal and political freedom, argues Roger Scruton.
"In my view, the idea that there is a single, one-size-fits-all solution to social and political conflict around...
"If you look at the studies conducted over the past century, you will find that those with religious beliefs will, on the whole, score lower on tests of intelligence. That is the conclusion of psychologists Miron Zuckerman and Jordan Silberman of the University of Rochester and Judith Hall of...
Spanish austerity's brain drain
Watch News Report
Scientists in Spain claim the long-term future of the country is being sacrificed, because of what they call "short-sighted" austerity measures.
Research and development in Spain has been cut by around 40% in the past five years.
The...
Various Y-chromosome studies showed that the San carry some of the most divergent (oldest) Y-chromosome haplogroups. These haplogroups are specific sub-groups of haplogroups A and B, the two earliest branches on the human Y-chromosome tree.
Mitochondrial DNA studies also showed evidence that...
