I was wondering what's the possible time frame of an autosomal test. As it seems to me it's not like mtDNA or Y-DNA, going back thousands of years. What do you think? Couple of hundred, one thousand, or more?

This question is for those ones, who tested 23andMe or Geno 2.0 or both. Is there any difference between your autosomal results and ethnic percentages comparing to free admixture tools (e.g. Dodecad, Eurogenes)?
I run all these tests through GedMatch, and my question is which of the above mentioned is the most accurate? And of course which verison? I mean K9, K12b, K36 etc. (I know that the number stands for the different population samples.)
