    Eastern english people`s mt-DNA

I'm entirely East Anglian, my mtdna is U3a, on FTDNA lots of German matches, although I do seem to be quite Scandinavian according to Eurogenes, some of my closest population matches on there are Swedish and Orcadian.

With what ancient ethnicity do you most identify, and what has DNA told you ?

I'm from the East of England(as my name suggests) so a mix of Scandinavian and Celtic (Iceni). My admix on K15 shows Sweden and Orcadian as top populations. My Y-DNA is Iberian-Celt, not sure if that comes from the Iceni though. So I identify with the Vikings and the Celts.

Celtic Headhunters-archeological site from northern Gaul.

Was there any cannibalism involved?, or did they just lop off the heads?, I thought some Celts practiced cannibalism.

What is the greatest empire ever existed?

I'm biased but for me: 1) British Empire, 2) Roman, 3) Greek. The British Empire gave us: Democracy reborn(originally Greek), The industrialised world, Lots of Modernisation of Medicine, a unified language around the world and crumpets!

New map of mtDNA haplogroup U3

I was actually highlighting your post as the only sensible one as it used references to ancient DNA found so far, no criticism. I'm all for speculation but based on scientific evidence. What's next?, are we going to resurrect the previous silly theory that U3 is Roma!

What an insane thread, U3 Jewish?, at least the poster above had the sense to look at the ancient DNA discovered thus far.
