MyHeritageDNA I'm a bit confused with my Haplogroup G and my irish and irish ''blood'' (Spanish on)

That's a myth and has been debunked by genetics i.e. the Spanish connection to Black Irish which is not an actual population in reality.

The MyHeritage algorithm really needs updating. You most probably get that Irish, Scottish and Welsh, English to compensate for the 10% North African. It won't be real if you don't have an actual known paper trail to those ethnicities. Download your raw dna to Gedmatch and see what you get on...

What is Celtic on that site? The only genomes with Gaelic are the Icelandic samples. Most people with Northwestern European ancestry will get similar results.

The south of England and Wales actually had the least Viking settlements. Vikings settled more the North of England, Scottish Isles and areas of Ireland not so much the south of England and Wales. Normans aren't exactly the same as Vikings. Normans were a more mixed population. I don't think...

23andMe Ancient Germania vs Celtic Ancestry.

I don't think it spread from Norway but that is where it reaches a peak. I think that closer populations share a lot of crossover in genetics so the closer you are geographically you will have higher amounts. I don't think North Sea is Germanic because there are populations that have high...

23andMe Ancient Germania vs Celtic Ancestry.

I think North Sea is just a component that is highest in Norway and spreads out from there. I don't think it is Germanic because I get higher North Sea than Atlantic (I'm Irish). It just seems to be regional like a lot of these components. Regarding Atlantic in Eurogenes people like the Danes...

Sorry I don't have specific regions. I did notice that the person with the lowest British & Irish was from Dublin. I think most of the people I share with are from the more country regions and there are about 3 from Donegal in there but all the people I added had stated that all their...

I've done a spreadsheet and averaged the % for 43 people that have fully Irish ancestry. When averaged there is very little other than overwhelmingly British & Irish. Here is the breakdown. Irish = n43 British & Irish 94.87% French & German 0.77% Scandinavian 0.30% Finnish 0.01% Broadly...

It is going to be difficult to make those maps accurate as you would need a relatively large sample set. I share with a large amount of Irish people and while they have high levels of British & Irish they have slightly different amounts of other categories. Many have small amounts of...
