I tried the whg-ane-eef excel calculator, i think it calculates the ANE percentage well, but the WHG and EEF were very different from my country's average. After running through all the calculators on Gedmatch and on yourDNAportal i believe i found the ones which calculate these 3 components the best, on which i get results which are normal for my region.
the eurogenes_k7_ane on GEDMATCH calculates the ANE component the best
the puntdnal_k10_ancient on GEDMATCH calculates the WHG component the best
the K7 calculator on yourDNAportal, not on Gedmatch, calculates the near-eastern(=EEF) component the best
these are my results from each of these 3 calculators:
ane 13,36
whg 42,97
enf 42,24
they add up to 98,57%.
these are results of an American man with British ancestry. i asked him to test it.
ane 14.92
whg 43.22
enf 41.70
it ads up to 99,84. and it fits well in Britain.
so for the two of us the combination of these 3 calculators worked perfectly. this could be a coincidence though. i would like if more of you tested to see if it works for everybody. if this works, the results should add up to ~100% if you are european.
