As if Italian Americans only support leftists. What about Antonin Scalia, one of the greatest justices of the Supreme Court EVER, as well as one of the most conservative? Alito is pretty good too.
I guess people also haven't heard of Giuliani, or all the other Italian-Americans who surround Trump, including one of his lawyers at the Senate Trial. Of course, the latter makes sense: Trump is a New Yorker. We're a strong presence in the Metropolitan area and he's been around Italian Americans all his life. Obviously, some are going to wind up being friends and allies.
For the record, De Blasio is half Italian, having taken his mother's surname when his worthless father left him. He's also, in my opinion, and I interact constantly with the city, one of the worst mayors New York has ever had, almost as bad as Dinkins, when the city was turning into a cesspit. The city is deteriorating under my eyes, with all the petty crime intervening mayors got rid of making an appearance again, infrastructure not being maintained, businesses leaving again because of his insane taxation policies, the police force demoralized because of his lack of support and on and on.
Plus, his woke b.s. is a constant embarrassment, as is his obvious stupidity.
The only reason he's mayor is because of the minority vote. God willing he'll be out next time around, or New York runs the risk of turning into another Detroit. That goes for our mayor, Andrew Cuomo, as well. Mario Cuomo, his father, was also a liberal, but he never believed in the far left woke b.s. that his son espouses. Clearly, the intellectual brilliance got watered down.
If Bernie gets the nomination, I personally can't wait until they start running the ads showing him in Central America supporting the "Revolution", or praising Castro and Communist Cuba, or speaking in front of the radical left groups he loves. That's the problem when you've been a "public servant" for so many years. There's tons of media material.
Same goes for that phony Bloomberg. Look at him when they bring up Stop and Frisk and Red-lining. What does he do? Is he honest and does he explain what he did and why for so many years? Of course not. He squirms and lies and finally says "Forgive me, I was so wrong". What a disgusting display of cowardice and lack of convictions. He'll say anything to get elected.
I don't know which one I dislike more.
At least I got one present this week: Elizabeth Warren is going bye-bye. Another phoney.
