I will have a little bit of space next year in January to study an extra European language.

It is just for fun, I will not need to pass more than A1 level, A2 at most.

I would like some advice please.

Finnish
Everything looks difficult except for the pronounciation. But sounds cute!

Spanish
Somebody told me the grammar is more difficult, but the south Americans look friendly. Much more useful than Finnish.

Italian I can get help for free. I heard many exceptions.

Flemish

My mother in law is Flemish but mon amour told me it is really hard to learn.

Alsatian

Well, very limited but then again if you learn it well you can understand the Germans well too.

If you learn one Romance language well the others are fairly easy to pick up.

Among these choices, go for Spanish or Italian. More useful and more beautiful than the others. Easier too if you already speak French.
