    Exclamation 30% of Belgian roads need renovation

    The situation has become appalling. Belgium has the densest network of roads in Europe, but finances are not following. Over the past decade the conditions of roads has deteriorated considerably. It is now estimated that 40% of the streets, roads and motorways need to be renovated in Wallonia and 17% in Flanders.

    With 1500 euro of public funds spent per km of road, Belgium has the most under-financed infrastructure in Western Europe. In comparison, Norway and Switzerland spend 4 times more per km.

    Safe roads mean safer driving... So I fully understand your problem, also because there are areas here in Greece that are in the same state...
