Italian tv tourism spots (youtube videos)

Nice work Julia.

An Italy that is unfamiliar to most non-Italians. Gorgeous scenery, a place to hike, fish, hunt, do photography, and just enjoy nature. This is a tribute to my father; he left the mountains, but the mountains never left him.

L'Appennino Parmense e Reggiano (The Appennine mountains of the Parma-Reggio region of Italy).

Well, I couldn't just post a tribute to my father. La mamma is pre-eminent.
A more well known landscape, sometimes admittedly over run by tourists in the summer. Spring and fall are much quieter, although there is something about the sizzling heat, the smells, the "vibe" of summer at the beach that is incomparable.

My spiritual and emotional home-the Riviera di Levante from the Cinque Terre to the beginnings of the Versilia. Toward the end of the first one, the creator of the segment even highlighted our local food.

Really beautiful! ;)

Sometimes I feel frustrated thinking that we're ruining all this, and that countries that aren't so beautiful have much more tourism than us, because they're better than us in preserving their beatiful places and monuments. :(

Thank-you Riccardo. No, we don't preserve them well enough. Part of it may be that some of us haven't traveled enough to know what we have, or perhaps we have too much to preserve, especially if you consider how much of the world's art we possess.

On the other hand, while I know tourism is an important industry, there are times when it is too much of a good thing.:)

I think we don't have enough civic sense...When you go abroad, expecially in Northern Europe, everything is different...In Belgium I saw two Roman stones protected and preserved as they were the Gioconda. Here people write on monuments...
I hope tourism to grow up...We don't use our "weapons" as we should... (y)

I appreciated that especially in Palermo. So beautiful city, but so careless. On that same trip, I was in Malta, while not having so many historic monuments everything was much cleaner and well preserved. But not all Italy is like Palermo. I found the city of Rome quite clean. Even Catania, in Sicily, I found it much better preserved than Palermo.

I love Italy, I have been there 7 times, and I could come back other 7 times!!!
