With all ancient DNA tested, are there things you find surprising?
I personally did expect they would find Y-haplogroup J in neolithic samples,
which is not (yet) happened.
We have for now very few ancient Y-DNA, too few to allow us to do hasty conclusions and build complicated theories - mt DNA is richer...
Well, if it is correct that pharao Tutankhamon was an R1b, I found that a bit surprising.
