I searched across the internet, and I could not find any information about the clans.
I hope that someone else, or maybe myself will be able to assist you further.

Hi!
I am interested in the history of some of the Portuguese clan
Velho, Soto, Ferdinandesh, Major, Aveiro
Who can help, where to find information and history about them?

Thank you, Coolboygcp.
You can start with Portuguese names on WIKI, if that's what you are looking for.
Hi,
I don't know if you can call it "clans"...
Velho: it means "old"...never seen it as a surname...
Soto: it should be "Souto"; it means "Chestnut woods"; it is more a toponym (check wikipedia Souto); not so common, but there are some people with this name as "Souto Moura".
Fernandes: son of Fernando.
Major: military rank; ...never seen it as a surname...
Aveiro: city/district south of Porto; it is the surname of Cristiano Ronaldo.
