Corruption perceptions index for 2013

It would be nice to have the figures of the "exported" corruption that the wider public is not aware of. Scandinavian countries for eg (Germany as well) are perceived as less corrupted but there are very bad cases of millions being misused by their own experts in the "third world" countries that public never gets to know of.

So in European Union most corrupt country seems to be Greece, while on 2nd place are Italy and Romania.
In Europe,most corrupt are Albania,Ukraine,Russia,Republic of Moldova,Belarus.

The operative word is in your title, perception. It is a study based merely on people's perceptions or what they think may be true. It is not necessarily based on fact.

But there have to be the base for Greeks' general feelings not trusting their government officials. Most of them say "they" referring to government, and "us" for ordinary people. In contrast, in many countries people feel more unified with their governments. I remember reading story about rich Greek neighborhood with hundreds of swimming pools where only handful of owners paid "swimming pool tax". Grand majority of them never declared having one.
