Hey, LeBrok, no hard feelings (now and then my buddy, Cabernet, brings its contribution to my postings). So yes, I might be a bit too optimistic regarding how fast some relevant results will come up out of unscrambling MML’s. Cheers!

Just came over THIS, a fabulous intellectual venture to keep an eye on. Even more interesting it’d be for Google’s AI/”the singularity”/ “Turing test” to accept SuEn’s challenge – yup, time-wise included. There’d be: A. (practically) unlimited funding + a good brainteaser vs. B. no funding + the mother of all research ideas. And Google has the funding ..

Yep, google is setting itself up nicely for the future next big thing. They are the leader in driverless cars too. Time to load up on Google shares. It'll be the first trillion dollar company soon.

I have a thread here about advances in robotics.

Be wary of people who tend to glorify the past, underestimate the present, and demonize the future.

    (A) Money, (B) connections and (C) brains are the most powerful ingredients to make things happen and Google is pretty good at making great things happen. I despise the need of connections, most likely cuz I don't have any, but then that's just me. If we quantify it should be (C) > 90% and (A) + (B) < 10% [unless one was born rich he can't get (A) without (B), but without money you can't open the right doors/buy connections, and here's the damn vicious circle]

Google could surely use a hell of a challenge to prove that they pioneered the smartest toy on earth: 'you need two to .. contest,' you can't compete with yourself (well, metaphorically you can, but it won't be relevant). Think of it: without the right competition with whom will their robot flirt with, an ATM's AI?

I'll review your "Robot, anyone?!" tonight.

You have to add vision and marketing. These were the main skills of Steve Jobs.

As long as robots have no emotions there will be no flirting, only following the program. Also for that reason "computer god" will be much safer for humankind than "human god" who would have emotions and might get angry and kill us, lol.

You say that cuz you're stuck in monotheism. How about there'll be a few billions of "human gods" all having the power to destroy the universe? -- Now that's what I call fun ...
