Hello everybody
excuse my english I live in France (and speak only french) so I am dont really good in english...
anyway my little brother do a dna test for me (I wanted to know our origins) and the results are : our haplogroup is J1C3d (L147.1)
I do not understand all and I have no money to do more tests, I want to know what my Y-STR mean and to have more information to find a trace of my ancestors .. .

Regarding L222.2, I'd say it probably came from the northern part of the Arabian peninsula, around Jordan and Syria... Not the southern part, that's for sure.
BTW, E-M34 is the most common paternal lineage amongst my relatives, and I strongly suspect my paternal grandmother's father was E-M34+.

Finally, I'd avoid throwing religious figures into this discussion, we're discussing facts here (not beliefs).
