I've received partial results from my 23andme analysis

So it's:

Y-DNA: R1b1b2a1a
MtDNA: HV0
Neandertal: 2.7%

I've no clue if my R1b is U-106, U-152 or anything though, can anyone help?
 
I'm here. As with my name, I'm only here for MtDNA. HV0 is a descendant of HV, which in turn is the daughter of R0. R0 is a very European haplogroup. It is not Indo-European, however. It migrated to Europe after the IE, from the Middle East. Besides Europeans, it is also found within Arabs (especially Saudis), and North Africans.

Nice thanks. I feel it's quite a mysterious MtDNA... it's found a bit everywhere in western Europe but very sparsely, but I don't know much about this haplogroup.

Yeah, HV0 is the little midget sister of H and V, both superpowers within the haplogroup realm.

That's an interesting haplogroup. My mother comes from the deep Ardennes and all her known descendants too. I doubt my mother family moved much since Julius Caesar. The ardennes used to be quite an isolated place for centuries... I wonder how a HV0 ended there.

After you've signed in, go to My Results at the top of the page (second from the left); under Ancestry Overview, go to Ancestry Tools. Select Haplogroup Tree Mutation Mapper. At the right, under Get Information for a Person's Haplogroups, you should see your name. Hit the Submit button under it.

You should now see a column that says "Paternal line (Y chromosome), under that, "R1b1b2a1a defining mutations." The first block will have columns for variant, call, and ancestral or derived values. What do you have there?

As an example, mine looks like this (but with better formatting):

rs34738655 (L44) G A
rs35760092 (L45) G T G

which shows that the most downstream SNP I tested positive for was L45, placing me in the U106 group.

PS: When I put "rs35760092" (the L45 snp) on Browse Raw Data, it doesn't find any SNP

What would be the simplest way for me to know what kind of R1b I am?
 
It seems odd that they don't show any derived results past L51. You obviously have further SNPs...if nothing else, they categorised you as (using their outdated nomenclature) R1b1b2a1a instead of just R1b1b2a1.

Do you have results for rs13304168, rs9785659, rs9786076 or rs9786283, or are they all no-calls?

It says no-call for the first one (rs13304168), and the other ones are not found on my chip.
 
One thing that seems clear is the fact I'm negative in U106, I got a no-call in P312 (but will assume that I'm P312 though); within P312, I'm negative both L21 and U152 (which surprised me); the problem is that 23andme uses a 2009 Isogg tree, in which subclades like DF27, DF19 and DF99 are absent... so I guess I'm one of those?

Just test with another company like FTDNA. There is no use in speculating endlessly. Unfortunately 23andMe cannot give you any more details. You are in all likelihood P312, and possibly something like DF27+ or even something further downstream.

I'm thinking about testing through FTDNA but I'm a bit lost here... It looks a bit pricey, don't know how it works exactly, if I should test single SNP etc...

IIRC, you can transfer your data from 23andme to ftdna ...........they will take ydna and mtdna but not auDna
