What music are you listening to?

Great old song.

All our focus has been on the disease and surviving it, but even if we do, what will the "new normal" look like. Unemployment claims are at Great Depression levels. What will our homes be worth? What kind of jobs will be left for lots of people who have been made redundant. For now, the small business grant will keep my husband's employees paid, and the rent paid, but for how long can the government do that, and how will it change America to become so dependent on government?

I don't want to think about it.

Certainly didn't see this coming on New Year's Day...

It's gonna be okay,
... financial aid programs will be extended because the solution chosen by Feds and States is responsible at forcing a lot of business to a “temporary” shut down, or to a reduction of services and production.

Our Dear Leaders are trying to save our lives by chipping away at our wealth.

... As we wait for a Vaccine:

In about a month and a half, the focus will shift at protecting the vulnerable,
and the Stay-Home / Quarantine will be minimal and locally targeted,
most business will reopen with new rules and guidelines as masks and gloves, social distance, ...

Also Travel and Vacation related biz will continue to suffer until the vaccine.

I think :)

You broke lives and money, now fix it !
and
Pay me my money down

... and I know how to clean money 😉

WOW! The amazing Stabat Mater by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. It was his last work, written when he was 26 years old, in 1736, at "deathbed". The poor young man died of tuberculosis soon after.
See: https://youtu.be/xHQVtYzjLao

And this is Rossini's Stabat Mater, from ~100 years later. It's more, say, "operatic" than Pergolesi's.
Freaking brilliant!!

Some of the best music ever written. I'll be adding them to my collection. :)

Another version: Corse Stabat Mater from Via Crucis...

Those Were The Days My Friends-I love this Ukrainian song in whatever language it's sung.

oh, Mary don’t you weep

Beautiful!

One more:

Perhaps my favorite: Dio, Come Ti Amo...I like this quieter version better than the clip from the movie, I think.

Before 2000 years it was a female named Phersephone,
they were searching for her with torches all night,
and everybody was looking for her until the Great Spring celebrations, and Fiestas,

Today before the Great Fieastas of spring it is Lazaros,
Ok at West Easter is tomorrow, but at East is next week,

the kids song for lazaros

I wonder when our Governors pronounce my name and call me Out of lockdown tomb.

“On the day in which we celebrate the trust in a life that triumphs, I’m honored and happy to answer ‘Sì’ to the invitation of the City and the Duomo of Milan. I believe in the strength of praying together; I believe in the Christian Easter, a universal symbol of rebirth that everyone – whether they are believers or not – truly needs right now. Thanks to music, streamed live, bringing together millions of clasped hands everywhere in the world, we will hug this wounded Earth’s pulsing heart, this wonderful international forge that is reason for Italian pride. The generous, courageous, proactive Milan and the whole of Italy will be again, and very soon, a winning model, engine of a renaissance that we all hope for. It will be a joy to witness it, in the Duomo, during the Easter celebration which evokes the mystery of birth and rebirth” Andrea Bocelli
