Lecce mia - Tito Schipa
… a Tribute to his City, and mine :)
in Leccese:
🕷️
Lecce is like a Baroque fantasy; so lovely.
Had no idea he was from an Arbereshe family. It shows their complete incorporation into Italian culture, and the inclusivity of that culture.
I had some experience of that personally. It was ten years before I learned that the wife of an Italian American couple in our pool club was Arbereshe. It's not that she wasn't proud of her ancestry, just that she knew Americans wouldn't understand it, so she didn't go into it with more casual acquaintances.
Non si fa il proprio dovere perchè qualcuno ci dica grazie, lo si fa per principio, per se stessi, per la propria dignità. Oriana Fallaci
They say I'm crazy
I really don't care
That's my prerogative
They say I'm nasty
But I don't give a damn
Getting girls is how I live
Some ask me questions
Why am I so real?
But they don't understand me
Or really don't know the deal about a brother
Trying hard to make it right
Not long ago
Before I win this fight, sing
“Man cannot live without a permanent trust in something indestructible in himself, and at the same time that indestructible something as well as his trust in it may remain permanently concealed from him.”
― Franz Kafka
As a history enthusiast, I'm listening to this recreated Byzantine/Roman music. The talented composer and singer Farya Faraji managed to create a piece of Ancient Roman and Greek (march) music that sounds very authentic and awesome at the same time. And his Greek/ Classic Latin pronunciation is on point and natural. Besides, I like the sound of the drums, zither, and trumpets. I can only recommend his channel.
Roman Song: Sons of Mars
Roman Song: Legio XIV Gemina

I'm listening to rapcore right now, which motivates me to work.
So adorable looking when he was younger, and what a voice!
Australian band Montgomery decided to record a music video for their song "Not Around" here in Warsaw's Praga (2015 or 14)
Per Te... by Josh again, with English translation. I think he does it beautifully. Why don't young men listen to this kind of music? Even today, this is what most women want to hear, not disgusting words and names for themselves.
Anyone interested in genetics knows the answer to this one.
When there is no shame
Divine blindness conquers them
Hybris (abuse, opprombium) is born
Nemesis and punishment follows.
Εχε υπομονη Ηρωα
Η τιμωρια δεν αργει.
Like the audience as much as the singer.
