What music are you listening to?

    Dead God of the Dead
Who was old aeons before the lordship of the Dead
    Was usurped by Osiris
Long before the priests of Asar
Forbade the cannibalism of the Dead
Those who could not afford to be buried
Were to be eaten or burnt
    Or devoured by crocodiles
Or fed to the hyenas and Jackals

    The seven who work slaughter
In the Lake of Fire who feed upon the Dead
    Who hack necks to pieces
Who seize hearts and tear them from breasts
    I beseech thee
    Feast not upon my heart
Devour not the insides of my skull
    Gorge not upon my entrails
    Gnaw not upon my limbs
Tear not with your teeth the flesh from my bones

I pray to the Four Apes
Who sit at the corners of the Lake of Fire
    Whose mouths vomit forth flames
    To propitiate the Gods

As it was for he who walked forth from the Inferno
    And wast not burned
Let me emerge unscrathed from self immolation
Let me be neither seared nor incinerated
    Let me come forth unmolested
Let me not be repeatedly consumed in Pits of Fire
Let me walk forth from fire
Let me walk forth from flame unscathed

"I pray to the Four Apes
Who sit at the corners of the Lake of Fire
Whose mouths vomit forth flames"

+Infinity for fire breathing apes. Every religion needs at least one fire breathing ape. That would be sweet.

BTW Nile is a band so great it should go down in history...like George Washington. Lol.

Dave Mustaine is a 'killer on the loose' when is inspired,
one of the top players,
pitty that he did not get the recognition he deserved as quitar player.
too much alcool destroys mind,
and does not bring joy, neither warms heart.

Phil Anselmo is another great mind destroyed by substance abuse. It is indeed a pity.

This song was the passage for me from Rock to metal,
around 1983-84,

I always liked the duo quitarists of them,

It is the time of Birmingham and Manchester,
when all Metal bands where in England,

at their top,
sexual choices and differences, made them to dismiss the band

Ted Nugent is a straight shooter though. He's against substance abuse.

If I want to have a drink I make it a point to walk to these bars I like, that are 7 miles away in total back and forth. That way, I can burn off the calories from the beer and pizza. I only have one or two beers, and slice usually. I've actually lost weight this way

I love to walk long distances, and listen to music. It helps me clear my mind.

yup

but the 'prince' of that era was Eddie

a decade before was Ygwie,
I do not think someone would ever be faster than Ygwie

I was watching Predator the other day. I always loved that helicopter scene with this Little Richard song playing in the background.

It's a shame the actor that played Billy died recently; Sonny Landham.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jesse Ventura, and Sonny Landham were all governors of different U.S. states at one point.

GREAT SONG! I love a lot of the music from this era.

Jerry Lee Lewis: You have to watch the whole clip in each case to get the effect. :)

I saw Venom inc. last night at the Gramercy Theater in NYC. I'm sorry, but they kind of sucked; the magic is just not there anymore. They were really great at Saint Vitus bar a few years back.

Idk if it was the acoustics, or the fact that they played too many new songs that nobody cares about. I decided to sit at the very top of the balcony, and I actually slept through some of the set (I can sleep through anything, even a metal concert). The crowd was going crazy for the older songs, but when they started playing new ones, everyone was just standing there. They even messed up really bad on a few songs, even Black Metal.

I've seen the original Venom with Cronos too. They were great when I saw them back in 2006. I saw them again in 2013 in Baltimore. But the set got cut short due to sound curfews, and a mini-riot ensued in the street; it was an outside event.
