Well, I don't know if it "tops" it, but another very good one was the one by Michael Jackson.


After all the stuff that came out about him, I can't even listen to his music anymore, and I always loved it.

I can't watch Kevin Spacey anymore either.

Sunday night Half-Time show wasn’t memorable at all.

They were all a prequel to: Queen's live performance of Bohemian Rhapsody in Montreal. Imo, one of the greatest live rock performances of all time. Gives me chills every single time. "Mamma...sometimes makes me wish I'd never been born at all".


Janis Joplin is way up there too. Here she is at Woodstock. Before you ask, before my time, and never, ever, my kind of scene, but OMG, the MUSIC!

Don't get me started on Elvis! :) I never really got the Elvis mania until I was older and one of my much older cousins let me borrow her copy of the 1968 Come Back Special DVD. A Come Back Special in 1968! I finally got it: the voice, the charm, the humor, and the killer sex appeal. He's really beautiful...a spectacularly beautiful nose, for one thing, quite classical.

Anyway, I bought my own copy. There are some clips available on you tube. This is the early rhythm and blues and early rock Elvis. I just love it. So does the audience. :) He even mesmerizes his back up players.

Speaking of mothers and sons, he was extremely close to his mother, adored her, even dyed his hair black to match hers. She died early of a heart attack, devastating him, and he died of a heart attack at the exact same age as had his mother. Destiny, or genetics, or whatever...
