Ederlezi is an old roma folk song performed by goran bregovic. He did not create it

@ DErite

yes the creator is Nele Karajlic from Serayevo
Nele also wrote Bubamara (black cat, white cat)

No, these are just renditions. The creator of the song is unkown because it is a roma folk song. Goran, Nele, and all the other performers are
popularizers not creators..

The original creator of the song is some roma guy that never got credit. The song exists since before Nele Karajlic was born.

ok,

but from what I found credits belong to Nele.

anyway I believe is a very good song for Spring season.

in another version with English Lyrics,

I do not know if the day is correct,
Roma usually sing it at St George day on 23 April.

PS
Derite I would like to hear that song from Esma Redzepova,
Do you know if she ever song it?

It is a very good song and I have heard it live many times.

But you first said it was created by goran bregovic, now your saying its credited to Nele. They are renditions/arrangments, not compositions.

They are very good performances, but the credit for the composition of the actual song goes to the roma people, since it's their folk song.

I think the roma should get their credit, and not have their song be presented as being a serbian song (gorans rendition is a really good one in
time of the gypsies, which is also a great movie).

Here is one rendition of it by the american band Beirut:

"Music by" probably means "arrangement by"
"In music, an arrangement is a musical reconceptualization of a previously composed work.[1] It may differ from the original work by means of reharmonization, melodic paraphrasing, orchestration, or development of the formal structure."

I think it's Greek that sounds similar to Spanish and the other language is Arabic.
