Persephone (Hades’ wife) Dance

“… at the heart of Salento we discover an ancient ritual …”

One of my favorite myths. Sweet Persephone has returned from the Underworld to spend six months with her beloved mother, and Demeter shines her joy onto all the earth, bringing fertility and joy to the land and animals. :)

It's not that she wasn't proud of her ancestry, just that she knew Americans wouldn't understand it, so she didn't go into it with more casual acquaintances.

They say I'm crazy
I really don't care
That's my prerogative
They say I'm nasty
But I don't give a damn
Getting girls is how I live
Some ask me questions
Why am I so real?
But they don't understand me
Or really don't know the deal about a brother
Trying hard to make it right
Not long ago
Before I win this fight, sing
