He is the one who left the his first lover Metis: goddes of the wisdom and second justice goddess Themis. I don't think that justice or wisdom is Zeus's first priority.

What is fair to my eyes, is different to what is fair to your eyes,
and different to a third person eye,
that is why we made laws, and specialists the judges,
but the judge must bring justice with the same meter at every simmilar case,
if not, he is not a judge, he is hoax,
and do not worry,
Gods do what ever they like, and play with us,
as many judges or inspector do,
but at the end the thunder strikes,

except modern days,
cause today justice is ill, She is 'green',

The point is that everybody talking about justice-law etc. but the world is still full of cause.

I give Angela HIGH PRAISE for posting the Pelop article. It has a personal connection to me (maternal side), but beyond that, it is clearly germane to this website, and is useful for anyone wanting to be knowledgeable about that region, and broader.

If there is criticism of Angela, it is she was TOO tolerant of the Albanian nonsense on the Pelop paper. She warned a lot but only rarely took action. The result (I haven't been back in about a month - perhaps she has cleaned up some of the extraneous Albanian crap) is a thread that is tedious for serious people to get through and learn something. And, she allowed at least one post -from an 'Italian' & commenting on it hotly brought me a penalty - providing a 'quote' that was clearly exactly opposite to what the study revealed. She is forgiven though my penalty continues through March 2018. Now this situation isn't unique with Angela. Being a moderator is a thankless job, except when there is that rare jewel of insight I suppose.

Here is the broader point for which I do not have a solution. My view is that posts can get too big. And if extraneous topics, even playful ones, are included, much less venal agitprop, then the serious user will wade forever trying to get to the truth of contradictory assertions etc. Perhaps if the rule is that for a new topic, like the Pelop paper, users must post exclusively and directly on that topic for say 200 comments. "The author says THIS, but alt-author says THAT" And, one cannot repetitively cite the same author/article,etc, as if crap repeated gets any better. Okay, then on a NEW post, users can post up to 400 comments on related or tangential comments.

I saw where one post was apparently re-opened - some Macedonian thing that Albanians and FYROM idiots are ranting while swiping at the Greeks. It is over 700 comments. Should never have been re-opened. Force a new post. For any closed post there should be upfront marker that this is the case.

EDIT add-on: Ethnicity ought to be REQUIRED. And not 'citizen of the world' nonsense, but a forced choice (from a list) of 'ethnicity - primary' or 'ethnicity identified'. Plus should be a major penalty for falsifying ethnicity and country. Also, if the site tools allow, could have a suspend process where a user is given 24-48 hours to amend a comment before it is auto-deleted. Might be useful for the repetitive citation issue.

I'll end by saying - not that this has any weight - that Angela is very valuable to this site.

It's not correct to call people here idiots.
You know what is ridiculous in this situation? You Greeks call everything that has been written by the medieval chronicles, the historians, both modern and antiquity ones, as well as the international ones even the Greek ones as crap. For you there is only this latest genetic study, which has been considered full of flaws even by members of this forum. And you want to rewrite the history of Greece and the Greeks with this study? But we are talking about Greece here not one of those tribes in the Amazonia forests, we are talking about one of the best-documented countries in human history. And what about the other countries and nations? Are we going to drop to the toilet all that the historians have written until now?

BEFORE I began looking up youtube.com music videos for Greek music, the only 'Albanians' I knew of were John Belushi and his brother, Jim Belushi, both US comedians, and Orthodox Christians. AFTER I began looking up youtube.com music videos for Greek music, the only 'Albanians' I WANT to know of are John Belushi and his brother, Jim Belushi, both US comedians, and Orthodox Christians. Plenty of other 'isms' that distort truth. Getting at truth is important to fair minded people. The Pelop study is an effort in that direction. As such it deserves serious attention. It got less than that in significant ways. Yes, there is whole lot of crap that must be waded through to get to the serious comments.

My concern is that in what is purported to be the highest level of open access dialog on genetics, and such, useless commentary, discredited authors and bogus 'authorities', and so forth, are permitted to be repetitively allowed in the posts to the point that any one with a serious interest in learning - comparing and contrasting scholarship - are put off by the endless tirade of pointless materials.

I don`t know where you see the hate in my post against the greeks. What i have noticed in the previous post, are your offensive words against Albanians and other ethnic groups. No world renowned philosophy, no world renowned literature, no enlightened democracy, no pace-setting mathematics, no colonization, no lingua franca in the eastern world, no societal takeover of the Roman world, no language of the Good News. Not for the Albanians. For the Albanians, it is just lackeys, mercenaries, a regional pasha or two, and the Belushi brothers. And the first three, those Albanians gave up their Christian faith. Let me give you an advice before suffering some stroke of apoplexy. Take a plastic sword, go in front of the mirror and tell to yourself: "I am a greek. Albanians go back to whichever religion they like or simply decide to be a nonbeliever or convert to something like protestantism or Bahai a or jedi. I have my close cousins that have gone back to catholicism, i have moderate musilm cousins and atheists. No one gives a f**k what religion you are in our families. And than there are those who are bigoted and extreme in their beliefes like in any other nation.
