Very interesting. It is not unusual in nature to find interchangeable though somewhat different molecules. Like artificial sweeteners acting on our tongue as sugar, tricking our receptors, but not being sugars. I've never heard that DNA molecules have some shadowy friends, but here we go.
Be wary of people who tend to glorify the past, underestimate the present, and demonize the future.
