Let's compare the number of substrate words in different languages.
I will tell my language story because I am more informed about it.
The Old Classic Armenian is attested from 410 AD.
It has 11000 roots.
Various linguists estimate that 3500-5000 roots are from substratum. Many scholars think that this substrate is linked to Urartean.
This makes 32 - 45 % of word roots that has no any IE parallel.
What about others?
