Moroccan Berbers are the least Arabid ethnic group in North Africa, so they are mostly in the Somalid Race
Genetic studies show that only 5%-10% of Moroccan Berbers DNA is Arabid J (Y-DNA)

IF you mean E1b1b by Somalid then yes the Moroccan Berbers are near 85% E1b1b (Y-DNA), but their E1b1b is an exclusive M81 thats only common in Moroccan Berbers & West Algerian Berbers, the Eastern Part of North Africa is more M78

In general in the father lineage the majority of Berbers & Somalians belong to the Somalid genom. Berbers mtDNA (mothers DNA) connects them to the Middle East, Greece & Anatolia. Its hard to classify mtDNA so most races are classified by the fathers lineage that imposes the culture & language
The Arabids are around 25% of North Africa. They are the clannish ruling elites.

Many berbers are ashame of their Somalid heritage favouring breeding with Arabids or Europids which made them look closer to Arabids than Somalids. So the result Berbers are a minority on papers although native North Africans genetically belong to the Somalid race

I thought they came from west african coast and not from the eastern side

I dunno Moroccan Berbers, but Tunisian ones are pretty much Arabic on their paternal side. Look the frequeuncy of J-P58 in Tunisia and compare it with those of Gulf Arabs, Egyptians, Levantines and Sudanese.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haplogroup_J-M267

what si this new naming 'somalid'? referring to what? culture or genetic ligeanges?
Y-E whatever it's remote origin, has a lot of subclades in Africa and in Europe with very different recent stories; we have to be careful.
