Republicans take everything. This is the greatest Republican victory in the U.S. since 1928 !!!

Is it true that Hillary got more votes then Trump nationwide in what is called popular vote? SO what is the fuss about? My bewilderment is how can someone win a presidency with less votes nation wide? So much for proportional representation. So much for a greatest victory .

The fuss is that Hillary won the popular vote by around 150,000 voters but Trump won the electoral college vote so Trump wins. At least according to George Takai. My cousins keep on posting petitions on Facebook to eliminate the Electorial college. http://www.ghantagiri.com/george-ta...le-elected-hillary-the-system-elected-donald/

excuse my ignorance. Popular vote is something I am hearing now. Does it really mean over all vote nationwide?

added:- thanks for link. It seems it is. We had a law passed locally in the 80's that irrelevant (to what the USA term) electoral college, who gets 50% + 1 vote will win the election. I think that is more representative of a democratic process.

It's totally cool, each country is different. Popular vote is a ballot count of who voted for Hillary or Trump. Electorial Colledge is Geographical. Here is the map.

added: You're welcome, perhaps that could be arranged via a petition :)

Lex retro non agit but you can try this solution in 2020.

I guess you mean example like grabbing women by the pussy?

He said that in a private dirty chit-chat with his buddies.

What's the big deal here. That he is a heterosexual man?

I totally understand, what's done is done.

Im not too thrilled that statement was leaked, it could encourage predators especialy since how well he's doing.

Haha but admit it. No grand victory there like you are shouting about

Buddies? that put out in public. Nice Buddies :). Anyway you are deviating (kind of running out of steam). That was a naturel question to ask to someone who thinks that Trump is honest in all he says. Anything wrong? and notice I was so not politically correct. He did say it by the way. Awesome to have a president that brags about groping women at the age of 67 (I think?). Exciting times

have you seen him doing it? where you there? do you know the context?

I know, such language is not political correct, even worse it is gross.

Big deal.

Why didn't you address his statement about "not letting black people count his money" instead. "Lazy thinking" is one thing, how about "lazy doing" and not renting his apartments to blacks?

And how does it stop a racist liking certain ethnicities and totally disrespect others? Didn't he referred to superiority of his family, like breeding stallions, or something like this?

Everybody can make mistakes in quick judgment. However he had years to cool down and rethink all to rectify his angry outburst, but he didn't. Same as with Obama's birth certificate. I'm sure he still believes it was all rigged and he was right all along. He is conspiracy theorist after all. Mind, that in both these cases the "perpetrators" are blacks.

Oh, please Angela, this is crazy. We can as well excuse KKK racist crimes as stupidity, lazy thinking and no filter.

And yet you did. Perhaps your subconscious is acting up.

All always means the same. How can it lose the meaning?
Did a word "murder or murderer" lost its meaning, though it is heard every day on news and movies?

He might not be the Racist, just ordinary small r racist, but he is one.

Luckily you don't need to ask for asylum in Canada.

 are you always there and seeing them when you quote or refer to something? We know for sure it was his voice on tape and he admitted it and felt sorry for it. I know that some 8 women came over to say he did, not the house keeper Latina miss piggy tho. He didn't like her, and neither dog faced women. He dosent like them. But hey no Big deal....He is President, its really ok

quoting:- They are comments I wouldn’t make but they don’t make me think any less of him as a potential president. ““I think of it as entertainment. I know you guys take it very personally but I just don’t.”

How very interesting. Lets see how this entertainment is going to work through the oval office - exciting times ahead.........

Maleth,

The USA is not one unitary nation, but a federation of 50 nations.

This is why there is no really such a thing as "nationwide vote" there.

When I wrote about great victory for Republicans I meant that they won not only the Presidency, but also the House of Representatives and the Senate.

It is one country though. However I understand that is the system at present and nobody seem to have been much interested to change it. So be it. It could have worked both ways for each party. But the naked truth is Hillary got more votes over all. So the stunning victory and so on we are hearing is somehow bogus in the heart of hearts. ;)

It is a federation and this is how many Americans think of it, especially if they are from families that live in the same state for a long time.

Of course the number of electors from each state is proportional to its population, so this is where you get democratic representation from.

The winner in each state takes it all - so for example if a Republican candidate gets 49% of votes in California and a Democratic candidate 51%, then the former gets 0 electoral votes and the latter gets 55 electoral votes.

wir schaffen das, indeed that was very entertaining

Irony and hypocrisy abounds, Twilight. For a minute I thought perhaps both sides would take the high road, but it doesn't look like it.

I just have very little patience for a lot of young people today. Some of these yo-yos reacted to losing an election by burning the American flag?

You know how many times I've been disappointed in election results over the years? That's democracy. If you really believed in your candidate and worked really hard for them then of course it's emotional and upsetting when they lose, but that's how democracy works. I was just as disgusted when Trump implied he might not accept the results of the election. President Obama, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump all did the right thing. Now it's time for these babies to go back to class or work, and if they want change, start organizing for the next time around.

Angela I'am always fond of these kind of election cards, thanks! Just out of curiosity what is the deep blue spot in south dakota, in almost red area.....?

PS Found it obviously American Indians are not Trump supporters! American Asterix and Obelix ;)

"The bluest county in South Dakota is Shannon County, where Obama won 93.4% of the county’s 2012 vote. While the bluest county in most states overwhelmingly voted for Democrats to represent them in the U.S. Congress, Shannon County’s representation has been more even. Over the last five congressional elections, Shannon County helped elect both Republicans and Democrats. The county was roughly 4% white, with a majority of residents identifying as American Indian. By contrast, 74% of Americans identified as white. Also, county residents had a median household income of just $25,648, less than half the national median household income of $53,046."
