    Origin of PF1975/E1b-Z830-2nd

Have been confirmed by FTDNA as E-Z827, ordered the E-Z827 downstream pack, in the meanwhile have been told I may belong to a branch of PF1975. I have been wondering, if its source/origin is known and its frequency among populations also known?

Congratulations. It always feels good to have a haplotype confirmed. Am I right to say that this is further downstream to E-M81?. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haplogroup_E-Z827#E-M81

    Have just been confirmed PF1975. I believe it's downstream of Z830, so I don't think it's downstream of E-M81.

Interesting. I have to become familiar and catch up with these new subclades or ones Im not familiar with, their sequences time frames and journeys.

I looked this particular subclade on Google, and it seems that all the results go to FTDNA or to people on forums asking about it. Also, every result I saw was Ashkenazi Jewish, so perhaps the mutation occurred among Ashkenazi Jews.

ISOGG 2016, as of May 16, 2016, has taken anything downstream of E1b1b1b-2, including PF 1975, which would be E1b1b1b-2b or something similar, off line for tree investigation, to clarify the fine points of the tree.

Here's some older write-ups about the E1b1b1b-2a (=M123); the sister group according to ftDNA's clades to your
    PF 1975=E1b1b1b-2b.
Won't let me post links; Google E-M123!

interesting branch it is a parallel branch to e-m123 as both derived
    from e-pf1962

    https://www.yfull.com/tree/E-PF1962/

it might originated in middel east
as there are cases donwnstram of e-pf1975 in iraq

    https://www.yfull.com/tree/E-PF1987/

    p.s
    though mainly present among ashkenazi
there are also sporadic cases downstream of e-pf1975 in campania and sicily
    from ftdna projects
and haplotypes i saw in some papers

    like this paper:

    https://journals.plos.org/plosone/ar...l.pone.0065441

    table s2:

    e-m35*(x m78, m81, m123)
    688-agrigento-e-m35*(likely e-pf1975)

    https://i.imgur.com/h2F0aio.png

    738-catania- e-m35*(likely e-pf1975)

E-PF1975 is equivalent to E-PF2025 on Yfull, (Both SNPs define the same subclade).

    E-PF1975 is 9700 years old : https://www.yfull.com/tree/E-PF2025/

However you are most likely these 2 deeper and younger subclades :

    1300 years old E-PF1952 : https://www.yfull.com/tree/E-PF1952/

    1500 years old E-Y35934 : https://www.yfull.com/tree/E-Y35934/

It should be worth to upgrade to BigY700, to order your BAM file from FTDNA, and to transfer to Yfull

i didn't mention iraq for nothing
    this paper (diyala region): ( 17 y-str predicted by negven) 6.3% e-pf1975 7/110

    https://www.researchgate.net/publica...rab_Population

i look at the haplotypes and those are clearly e-pf1975( likely e-pf1974)

    H24-e-pf1975(x2)

    H45-e-pf1975(x3)

    H57-e-pf1975(x2)
