Post your "genetically predicted place of origin" (based on Eurogenes K36 results)

Thanks for your welcome.

Especially South Bohemians have more R1b. But I think Czechs are more Celtomaniacs then Celts :) I would post a picture with regional percentages of haplogroups, but I have to reach 10 posts first.

Can u post that picture yet with regional percentages of haplogroups in the Czech republic, I'd be curious to see it :)

Does anybody know why?

His admixture programs are useless for southern Europeans, imo, and always have been. They've always been absolutely terrible for me, whereas every other calculator gets it just about right, and some, like the later versions of MDLP, get it almost exactly right. So, I'm not even going to waste time on this.

Can you give me a link to a calculator that works?

My Mother's side - I have no idea probably British Isles or Denmark. My Father's side possibly French then English. I ended up in the middle of England, nowhere near where I suspect my ancestors came from.

I got dropped right on the Ardennes Forest in Northern France. Which would make me what? [h=3][/h]

I uploaded my 23andme V4 file to DNA.Land and then converted the imputed vcf file to 23andme V3 file and ran K36. My results are now somewhat closer to reality, only 98 km from my birthplace (V4 was 146 km). Really interesting.

Puts me in the middle of a creek at the southeastern edge of Bedford UK :)

Latitude: 49.5
Longitude 0.4

Somewhere in Normandy France. I'm half Belgian and half French Canadian so it seems plausible.

My father is from Vologda and Kostroma regions, Russia. He was placed in the Sebezh district of the Pskov region - about 1000 km to the West.
Not surprising. Russia is so huge with such low population density and such a recent population expansion that you'd be lucky to get a close location on a calculator like that.

Apparently the coordinates took me to Doggerland
Latitude: 51.20015488
Longetude: 2.082156967

Preety spot on the epicenter of my ancestry; British Isles, French Canadian and German.

...

I got Doggerland too:

Latitude: 52.94445984199999,
Longitude: 1.9909744139999965

This isn't too shocking - I have a lot of British Isles ancestry (including Glasgow, Campbeltown, and County Mayo), and some Low German ancestors via Pennsylvania.
