Checking what was said above ...

    Amerindian 18.08
    Arab 0.62
    Basque 0.74
    Central African 0.25
    Central European 0.30
    East Balkan 4.48
    E C European 3.58
    East Med 6.92
    East Europe 4.36
    Fennoscadian 2.17
    French 4.63
    Iberian 14.74
    Italian 18.14
    N. Eastern 8.46
    N. African 2.44
    N. Atlantic 6.10
    N. Sea 1.87
    Omotic 0.52
    Pygmy 0.73
    W. African 0,81

my coordinates are 33 North and 22 East ... between Crete and Libya. I decided then to do a trick: I eliminated my Amerindian and Sub-Saharan Africa components, and their percentages were distributed among the three remaining major components. The new coordinates were 36 North and 12 East ... between Malta, Sicily and Tunisia. Quite far from northern Italy ...

I got Horsham, England. I have a decent percentage of English ancestry, as well as Welsh, Scottish, French, and German. SE England isn't too far afield.

I don't remember I submitted mine previously but it placed me in the sea south of Lemnos. Not bad overall!

It put me in Ivanovce, Slovakia. I guess 225km from Ludzmierz isn't too far off.

It puts me near the village of Frankisch Crumbach in the Odenwald, south Hesse, Germany, not far from where my male-line great-great-great-grandfather was born in northern Wurttemberg.

I'm ending up just north of Calais, France in the water. I suppose that's decent epicenter. :)

It placed me at the Swiss-Italian border right under the Matterhorn.

A bit south and west of my grandparents homes of Trier and Budapest.

    Newbie

    Hi group
The result supports my not yet by papertrail verified theory, that our oldest roots lay in Dutch Friesland.
The pinpoint I get with this tool is Gent, Belgium.

Based on this I hazarded a guess on my parent's predicted place of origin-my mom in southwest England or the English Channel; my dad somewhere in the Tirol in Austria or perhaps Alpine Bavaria.

I have my ancestors identified up to the 1600s, all French with a little northern Spain. Most branches stay at the same place or close before 1800. I have a great grandfather with unknown father so I am missing 6.25% of my ancestry. I calculated the weighted midpoint of my ancestors of the 5th generation. The result is close to Bordeaux, 95km away from Eurogenes K36 predicted place of origin. Not bad, I think.

I ended up in the waters between England, Denmark and the Netherlands (I guess where Doggerland was?) All of my great-great grandparents were born in Scania so I guess it's not super far away.

Apparently my post needs to be approved by a moderator. Can Angela or someone advise me on this? I simply copied my Gedmatch information into the post.

With the more intense coverage of the Ancestry reports (the 23andMe raw data has a lot of no-calls, Ancestry does not), my place of origin is in the western outskirts of Maastricht, the Netherlands, which makes much more sense, due to my ethnicities and the fact that I match closest the South Dutch on the various Eurogenes oracles.

With this program, I end up near Rome, my mom near Lyon (when it should be way up North) and my father is drowning in the Ionian sea (should be on the other side of the boot, near Naples).
