    Wow, I really don't think that Poland is a rich country.

    I know that there are thousands of people with Polish ancestry in France, but AFAIK most of this emigration dates back to the 19th century and to the 20th century. As far as I know most of the Polonia in France are descended from political refugees, not economic migrants.

    Polonia = Polish Diaspora: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_diaspora

    According to many estimates France has over 1 million Poles or people with Polish ancestry.

    I was not aware about any significant recent emigration to France. I thought these are descendants of older waves of emigration (just like the majority of Polish-Americans in the USA are descended from the wave of migration between years ca. 1850 and ca. 1920).

    The oldest Polish settlement in the USA was established in Texas in 1854 by Poles from Upper Silesia:

    One reason England left EU was Eastern emigration, mainly Poland, Romania and Bulgaria after. If you don't know this I don't know where you live? Its not because Polish are bad in any way, but they become so numerous so the locals could not bear it. Became competitors for jobs in their homes. Since I am from Albania, had Albanians had a chance on moving to England they would have done in greater numbers, so no ill against Polish. In France recent Polish emigration is also a problem. Again I see Turkey as a lot richer than Poland given that they have established a number of homegrown industries mainly defense industries. I don't see Poland as distinguishing itself from Eastern neighbor's for the foreseeable future. If you follow the news Poland is under French attack for lowering their taxes so businesses can move there. Poland will play hard ball as far as its allowed

    I've seen this joke recently:

    Year 2368: the Earth is negotiating accession to the Planetary Union. Except Britain, they are still debating May's Brexit Deal.

    I don't follow all the news TBH. Haven't heard this one. I only know that their cathedrals are burning and ours are not.

    Also interesting how violently Macron is dealing with Yellow Vests. I saw he got attacked by egg throwers on Easter.
