    mtDNA R haplogroup

    I noticed that there are no discussions on the mtDNA R haplogroup and descendants. 23andme puts me in Ria and the jameslick calculator in R1a1a1.

    I think because it’s a very strange and rare mtdna ...... and maybe ancient but I’m not sure ...

    I think the consensus is it came to Western Europe with the Indo-European migration in the Bronze Age. It probably originated in the North or South Caucasus.
