In Olalde 2018 Supplementary Info we can clearly see that British Neolithic ancestry increased over time after the invasion.

Tables S9-S11 give the following averages:

Copper-Early Bronze Britain = 96-95% Beaker ancestry, 4-5% Neolithic British ancestry
Middle Bronze Age Britain = 90-89% Beaker ancestry, 10-11% Neolithic British ancestry
Late Bronze Age Britain = 85-86% Beaker ancestry, 15-14% Neolithic British ancestry

So almost certainly some pockets / enclaves of Neolithic population survived initial Beaker invasion and later mixed back in.

Individuals with above average (1/5 to 2/5) levels of Neolithic British ancestry:

1. Copper-Early Bronze Age:

The majority of individuals in this early period had 0% British Neolithic ancestry.

Average in this period was 4-5% Neolithic British, some individuals had more:

I5379 Beaker Complex England - 20% Neolithic British
I2416 Beaker Complex England - 41% Neolithic British
I2568 Beaker Complex Scotland - 24% Neolithic British
I1767 Beaker Complex England - 26% Neolithic British
I2462 Early Bronze Age England - 35% Neolithic British
I5515 Early Bronze Age Scotland - 19% Neolithic British
I5516 Early Bronze Age Scotland - 18% Neolithic British

2. Middle Bronze Age Britain:

Average in this period was 10-11%, but some individuals had 1/5 or more:

I7576 Middle Bronze Age England - 20% Neolithic British
I2458 Middle Bronze Age England - 21% Neolithic British
I2655 Middle Bronze Age Scotland - 19% Neolithic British

3. Late Bronze Age Britain:

Average in this period was 15-14%, but some individuals had 1/5 or more:

I2656 Late Bronze Age Scotland - 25% Neolithic British
I2861 Late Bronze Age Scotland - 17% Neolithic British
I2859 Late Bronze Age Scotland - 18% Neolithic British

Very good info.

The modern British have more "European farmer" like ancestry, so it must have come with later population movements.

I guess this is also the case on the continent, with some Neolithic pockets, like in my mother's case!

https://www.eupedia.com/forum/threads/38131-K36-G25-with-(more-than)-a-touch-of-Funnelbeaker-TRB!

I guess this is the effect after the LN-EBA (BB) spread, the mingling within the neolithic hotspots......

I never believed that Neolithic people had been wiped out of Britain (or other people in other lands, as concerning Iberia). All depends on samples (geographically, culturally); the overruned people are not the ones who have the most eminent sepultures; and I think Bronze Age in Britain saw Celts coming from the continent, with also more Neolithic DNA heritage than northern BB's; not so surprising.

@Moesan and also among the area's of the Northern BB this phenomenon occured! (Steppe amount lowered HG/EEF amount raised again).
