    ... half and half

Generally, ... heading South across the Rubicon, some Italian “Gauls” were full Romans with Barbarian Ancestry,

and the Italians North of the Rubicon were Romanized Gauls, or others ...

Roman Gaul / Central / Hellenic / ... is more of a MTA nomenclature.

Traditionally, the Roman homeland ranged from the Rubicon to Calabria, ... once you crossed the Rubicon, you were in Italy / Roman Homeland,

and eventually it expanded into North Italy and Sicily.

Italy was not a Province, it was the “Domina Provinciarum” ... Homeland and Center of the Roman Empire.

imho The vast majority of Roman Era Italians should be classified as Romans only.

... it doesn’t seem that he can dance the Pizzica, ... too stiff :)

but I figured out why I get Louis 16th on the DNA Spotlight,

it turns out that he’s not très Français, ... he’s closer to the Romans and the Illyrians than the Gauls.

Lots of German wives in the French royal house in the latter centuries, and a Polish consort as well, but also a lot of ancestry from Savoy, not to mention all the inbreeding with the Spanish Bourbons. :)

... no gender, no haplogroups, but the Italians Medieval Collato Sabino COLC2 and COLC2a are consecutive in my results,
    ... I say that they’re Siblings, and COLC2b is their Parent, or an Uncle /Aunt ... :)

    ... also in my results there’s only a 0.05 distance difference between COLC2 and COLC2a, that’s why I say they’re Siblings.

    COLC2 PCA Plots - 20 samples - 3D Analysis:
