Perhaps the Roman soldier is Celtiberian so he could be named as a Gallo. Maybe the page does not yet have Celtiberians.

If MytrueAncestry does not yet have the Celtiberian definition, my results will enter Gallo for that of familiarity.

Are you saying that on the page where they give you a couple of "closest" Ancient populations they have Gallo Roman 6.896? The one with the ancient picture?

If that's the case, then I think they are confusing things up for people. What makes Roman soldier FN a Gallo-Roman? If anything maybe an Iberian.

Also, if Lukas is right and there aren't two Roman soldier in Germany samples, then why do I get two on my list with two different fits?

Do you get two as well? Are the fits the same?

@Lukas, where does the Roman soldier plot? Both/one?
    @Angela,

Yes. I have two matches with the Roman Soldier:

    1. Roman Soldier Germany FN_2 @ 6.896 and
    5. Roman Soldier Freiham Nord Germany @ 10.39.

It should be noted that in the French application that compares old samples with the results of the GEDmatch Eurogenes K36 calculator, this sample (Roman Soldier FN2) which is also my best match in this GEDmatch associated application (81 - totally red) is dated 300 AD and not 300 BC as MTA says. The dating of 300 AD is correct, as I have seen in several forums. Perhaps they have two samples, one Gallo-Roman and another of a Roman Soldier and use a unique nomenclature for both , as well as the dating, that are incorrect. They have to see this in an upcoming update.
    Hugs :)

I don't think there's a lot of change from mytrueancestry to yourdnaportal but the "Pict" listing doesn't occur on any of my other submissions including yourdnaportal and MLukasz's results either. It appears that I'm broadly northwestern european with the mix of both of my parents?

    4. Medieval Iberian (670 AD) (9.671) - CL23 I don't see it on Duarte's list at all so I tend to doubt it's Medieval Iberian.
    5. Gallo-Roman (590 AD) (9.698) - SZ28 Duarte gets 12.32

I am using a new Superkit, that now includes my FTDNA raw data, along with 23andme, AncestryDNA, Helix Nat Geo 2.0, LivingDNA raw data. With the new update, I only have one Deep dive match, and it is with the Mycenaean sample.

    Here's my new timeline.

Perhaps the similarity with samples like Roman Hispania, have to do with the colonists that went there during the Roman Empire. Also, perhaps even from commonalities brought by Greek influence. They all seem to cluster in the same area, so I would think they are related.

I'm still waiting for my new map, although the Hispano Roman samples came through. I'm going to talk about them in a subsequent post.

I did not get anything but in I do not know which calculator I had obtained a value of a Chupapoya tribe 0.008 or something like that. I was excited to be something of Mongolian.

Hello. This is my first post on here, so I am unable to post links. However, I posted my results over on Anthrogenica under my user name Chelle, if anyone wants to take a look. Thank you, Lukasz for making the calculator available. I found my mom's results pretty interesting.

23andme placed me in the correct region, but a lot of the oracles place me a little bit off, for example in Slovenia

    BA_Hungary_BR2 1.517823

Problem is on yourdnaportal there are only 8 positions in distance list.
I can later make list for you up to 50 for example in nMonte on my computer, will post.
