LOL You are not showing-off, Salento. I think I showing-off more than you, LOL. Panem et circenses. It was the way aristocracy of the Empire used to keep the commoner disinterested in politics and to pay attention only to pleasures like food (bread) and fun, through gladiatorial struggles. You are descended from a Roman aristocrat and was fulfilling his role as aristocrat to maintain peace in the empire. LOL ;)

I don't who's who, but Johnny Depp should always win. :)

Dear friend Salento. That's why I beted in the victory of the North Roman Warrior in your previous post. These yours ancestors, at least in the pics, are very domestic. They are very “home sweet home”. They could not win a battle with a northern warrior accustomed to fighting hostile barbarians on the northern frontier of the Empire. Think about that, LOL. ;)

I agree. I would say that. But some forum readers could be offended. But the reality (harsh reality for some people) is that the Greco-Romans in the center and south of the Italic peninsula were extremely cultured and advanced. Let's say the northern people still were rude and still were rehearsing the first steps toward civilization. A incontestable fact, I think ;)

The Greco-Roman (as you call them) had a Professional Army (Soldier = Soldato = Soldo Dato, is a Full Time Job)

The Barbarians instead were farmers, or... , and sometimes they got together and went to fight for a specific thing, afte that they would go back and farm again or ...

    think about it :)

Yes, Joey. The figure of the visigoths riding their horses is imposing. Although the first figure that appears in my ancestry is that of a quiet Gallo-Roman, I am also a Visigoth. Someone saw @Salento around here? LOL.

Very cool game. Very realistic images of ancient Rome and the Roman warriors. Great soundtrack. I had the opportunity to spend 14 days in the eternal city and know everything from the time of classical antiquity (Colosseum, Constantine Arch, Roman Forum, etc.) to the wonderful Baroque churches, especially Santa Maria Maggiore and San Paolo Fuore le Mura, until the monument to Victor Emanuel II. Interestingly, although It’s a imponent monument and visible from many parts of the city, the Romans hate this monument and, if they could, would implode it. LOL I loved the sympathy and joy of the Romans. It was the place in europe where I felt most at home.
