I do get all these new Roman samples, but my top ones are still Collegno and Szolad. Whatever mix I am looks like it was created around 500 AD. Maybe the Langobards, Celt/Ligurian, Italic, and Greek? Well, I get the Protovillanovan at a good number, and the Imperial Roman from Marche.

My husband's are a clean sweep with the Roman samples replacing almost all his prior top ones. The Mycenaean one still amazes me.

That's enough to get the idea. Perhaps the fact that his family were still speaking Greek until 2-300 years ago really did mean something.

    My maps:

I'm happy that even if the distances are quite different, we both have a relationship to some of the people in these graves around Rome, like Via Paisiello.
All roads lead to Rome (and back).

I think we all share a bit of everything in us :)

I haven't really played with these results before.

How odd that the closest population to the Scythian from Moldova is North Italians. What's that all about? I also got Scythians on an analysis done previously.

That match is still way up there for me.

Duarte and Carlos are getting these Italian hits, and starting with number 20 I get all these Spanish hits. :)

I have to think about it. :)

    Carlos papers

    Analyzing the situation

I see it consistent with the results of those other papers.
I think I'm going to bet on the observation that Salento has poured.

Perhaps many times they looked like opposites were actually relatives, distant or close but they were.

    @Carlos
    Roman Republic:
    you’re getting double R435.

Obviously they must be Huge, twice the size of the average Roman

you also get double 474 Iron Age.
    I stop here.

maybe deep dives get counted twice.

Congratulations to all my dear Italian friends, especially @Angela, @Jovialis, @Salento, @ Stuvanè, @Regio X. It seems that the void that existed on the map of Italy has been filled.

Every day, new surprises in the MTA. Good surprises. I am still quite Iberian, but I am very happy to share some ancestry with my Italian friends. Following I post some more of my images related to Italian ancestry. To play with, I put a match with a Frankish-Gaul Lombard (it seems these guys contributed to the collapse of the Roman empire, LOL).

    Greetings my friends :)

So, based on what we see here, Protovillanovan looks to have arrived by way of the western Balkans, or both Italy and the western Balkans were impacted by the same group, perhaps Hungarian Bronze Age related?

Some Bell Beaker in there as well, perhaps more in the Etruscans?

All of that is still fuzzy to me.

We really, really need Bronze Age samples from northern Italy.

    @Salento,
Very strange how they crowd up the maps with duplicates of the same samples.

I noticed that my duplicates are also Deep-Dive matches.

I don’t get any duplicates of the latest Romans on older uploads.

I often re-upload the r-data when MTA adds new samples or features.

Deep Dives only get updated by re-loading the r-data :)

    Bronze age
The order is random as I found the images, since replicas with such large quotas make the work difficult of pics selection.

It is very likely that you have obtained segments of the new samples. The penultimate time with Prenestini happened when I deleted and reloaded the file, but then I lose other old segments like Bell Beaker and it can't be, they should solve this for a better understanding of the whole.

@Carlos when we refresh or re-upload, we often gain or lose some samples, sometimes even after 1 hour or so.

So, we do share a few, and the distances aren't that different, except for one hit for Via Paisiello, where he gets a very close hit.

I'm going to refresh my recollection of the cemeteries and the individual samples for some patterns.

This program is turning out to be very helpful.
