My R1 kept losing positions, ...

about that Illyrian from Post #3336 ... very few people chrome-match that Illyrian sample ... hard to prove a connection with R1, unless the other guys start singing :)

I don’t trust "MyThrueAncestry" anymore. It can be used for “Brain storming” input only.

  • It is not possible that somebody has matched a 1000-year-old individual on the same level as a modern kindred person.
  • To different users they provide for the same segment of certain chromosomes the totally different common ancestry.
Kind regards.

So I just made an account and took a look around, I did my true ancestry and got some weird results which I'd love to be explained by someone who knows more
I am Romanian from the very south of the country, actually I can see the Danube from my grandparents' house and the hills of Bulgaria.
I come from the town of Corabia, for a more precise location.
So, I got this
Gaul + Hungarian Conqueror (6.093)
Roman + Hungarian Conqueror (6.918)
Gallo-Roman + Hungarian Conqueror (7.975)
Byzantine + Hungarian Conqueror (8.872)
Byzantine + Gallo-Roman (9.717)
Hungarian Conqueror (12.76)
Roman (16.26)
Gaul (17.92)
Gallo-Roman (18.02)
Byzantine (18.87)

If there is anything else you want me to add, I'll do it for sure. Is it rare? Is it weird in any way? I have to mention that I have some very far german and bulgarian ancestry (maybe 5 generations or so)

it losses its accuracy beyond 10

I ignore everything after 10

what do you mean by very few...how can you tell

the interesting part is I have a strong link with the I3313 illyrian/dalmatian ......but not with the other Illyrian/Dalmatian
I suspect as other sites state that I3313 is a liburnian/Illyrian, especially since it links with sample R1

... look for “Genetic Social Groups” ...
scroll down to “deep dive groups (meet your ancient cousins!)” ...

It’ll tell you how many MTA members you share with a specific Deep Dive sample!

... see below:

... you’re welcome, :)

... some more of my least popular deep dives samples,
two Skeleton Lake related with my Haplogroups, and a North Roman Warrior.

Haplogroups seem to be important in this case:

I3403 - 287 members (Pater T1a2)
I6937 - 111 members (Mater H12a)
NS3c - 84 members

This is mine comparison to SZ1:Salento, we do not share the same segments of SZ1. MTA is than calculating different ancestry for certain segment graphic representation. There is still big difference between 187 cM and 13 cM.

I agree with Italo. Seems Marcus Aurelius, at least in the cover of this book.
