Mytrueancestry.com

According to the Amorim charts of genetic structure at Szolad and Collegno: These were the Pannonian Roman samples

SZ43 is mostly TSI or Tuscan-like with about 30pc IBS (Iberian-like), with less than 10pc CEU+GBR (North European);

SZ36 is about 75pc Tuscan-like and 25pc Iberian (IBS);

SZ32 is about 60pc TSI and 40pc IBS;

SZ19 is 100pc TSI or Tuscan-like.

This is strange.....

It means Albanians and Tuscans are relatively similar, which we've known forever. On some PCAs Albanians are eastward shifted Tuscans, while on some they overlap. It depends on the Tuscan samples used and sometimes on who's doing the PCA, if you want my personal opinion (i.e. what they want to prove).

Albanians are also like a northern subset of mainland Greeks on some PCAs.

None of this is new, really.

My latest ancient matches:
ZXh9aTc.png

There's one gedmatch test which has no Northern Italian or even Tuscan samples. The algorithm searched for the next closest groups, and if I remember correctly, it came out Bulgarian first and then Albanian.

@Dibran,
SZ36 is the one who is most Tuscan like. SZ43 is a bit different. Maybe drifting toward the Romagna?

My closest result
is SZ43 which is slightly north of SZ36, the most Tuscan like sample, which makes sense for the Lunigiana/eastern Liguria, and my next closest is a Collegno sample which is similar to Emilians (and I'm half Emilian), CL36. It all makes perfect sense, at least for me.

They gave you a better explanation.

Keep in mind that under the right circumstances we can see each other’s Countries.

I saw Albania a few times from San Foca and Otranto (Salento, Italy).

There has been and there still is some exchange between our shores that has been going on for Millennia.

The Albanian Mountains viewed from Salento (Italy)

@Torzio

Your top y T sample (CL23) dropped some and the other T (SZ36) went up.

Are the 2 results you posted from the same Raw-Data?

My Top y T sample (SZ36) goes from first to second depending on the RawData.

Thank you for your response. For some reason wasn't sent notification. Apologies for delay. I assume I shift so much to these Tuscan like samples due to the very elevated "IT" component me and my father have. Highest average is among Tuscans but we have even higher than they. I imagine this is why me and my father shift towards them.

This is one of the reasons I was always skeptical of the "Herodotus version" of Etruscan ethnogenesis. It seemed to me that the difference between the Albanians and the Tuscans was Northwest European versus Slavic, not the rest of the components. So, did the migration from Anatolia to Italy specifically in the first millenium BC also go to the northern Balkans? There was certainly no mention of it, and other ancient authors had a different opinion. Then, of course, there was all the archaeological evidence. So, maybe something was wrong with the narrative preferred by internet population geneticists.

45 miles (72 km) from Capo d'Otranto, the Easternmost point of Italy, therefore it’s the closest point to Albania (Across the Adriatic Sea).
