If this is close to accurate, he was a handsome young man, and yes, with great teeth and a slight smile when he died.

One wonders how someone dying of a bone infection could smile, but perhaps it was for the comfort of his loved ones.

If they do a gene analysis it will be interesting to see if he had diabetes. They don't mention a fracture so that probably wasn't the cause.

Since he was perhaps from the upper class, it shows how bad things had gotten after the fall that even someone like him had vitamin deficiencies. The Dark Ages indeed.
