Having no acces to edit own thread and manage attachments

I recently opened a thread and tried to edit it. There wasn't even a button with ''edit''. I noticed that some threads you can edit and some you don't (even if you started that thread/topic). I find this very strange and not convenient. I'd like to edit my own thread.

Also did I notice the same thing with attachments. I can't delete or change the attachments I shared. I can't even see the attachments I shared in the thread when I click on it. I have ''no acces'' to see or edit the attachments.

*I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem, but after pm'ing with admins I see that I can edit now. Thanks for that Still I wanted to share this to prevent the same thing happening to new members.

You only can edit a post after few hours, then you can't. I have the same problem with attachments, I don't know how to delete them and i haven't space for allow more...
