I had my DNA tested by two companies. They didn't entirely concur. One labelled me a norse viking the other as north east european. About 20 pc of norwegian are my R1a-S6789 apparently while in central europe the % rises to 60 e.g.Poland. NO polish ancestry. One kind person wrote the fuller picture is R1a1a1b1a3a2. whatever that means.

It depends from what area of UK you are.
Danish and Norwegian Vikings had also some Polish or Baltic people joining them.
But you do not have Polish/Baltic DNA.
Your R1A have been found in 1 Swedish Viking and 2 Norway Vikings:

Your paternal line is indeed of Norway or Swedish origins.
Your male ancestor could also be a more recent Swedish or Norwegian migrant, to the UK :) .
You should see how much Norse DNA your father has.
20% Norway DNA is like your grand-grand-father was Norwegian :),if the rest of your ancestors have been without significant Scando DNA .
There were no more Vikings, in that period of time.
If you are from Hebrides or Orkney, 20% Norway DNA is normal.
Think are also some areas of Scotland and Ireland where people have significant Norway DNA.
