Angela. If you check my analysis in mixed mode, for a distance of 4.6 I have 11.8% Kitias Kide KK. This sample is very loaded in CHG ancestry. The Yamma are, on average, 50% CHG. PS: On the other hand, the yammas of Ukraine and Hungary have a lot of WHG and I am 24.6% Bichon, which sample is practically a pure WHG.

Corded Ware, which is what came into Europe, was less CHG heavy, but yes, I take your point.

What I do think is key for Iberians is the elevated WHG they have always had compared to other Southern Europeans and even Central Europeans. I think that is part of the explanation for closer numbers to Baltic and other Northeastern samples.

PuntDNAL K12 Ancient posted in plain text, blue kicked in at Nordic_LN_SG_RISE97. Given this sample, not surprisingly for me Iceman is my closest. A question I have relates to the Bell Beaker samples in Punt DNAL K12, are these older samples than the Italian and Sicilian Bell Beakers which is why the Italian/Sicilian Bell Beakers are not included. I get distances 15-18 on the Sicilian Bell Beaker and around 18 or so on the Italian Bell Beaker so excluding age of sample and while the cultures were the same, the local effect in the Italian and Sicilian Bell Beaker would explain why I am closer to those than the ones here. Am I off base?

I am definitely a lot Early Neolithic, even Iberia EN, which duplicates what I've seen on other calculators. Then there's the Central Europe pull, and the Iran Neo Pull, and about 25% steppe. (Of course, Sintashta has some European farmer. Still, 25-30% steppe is what I usually get on other calculators.) These samples in combination get me pretty darn close as far as distance goes.

I'm surprised you get no steppe at all, Duarte. I know some analyses show Iberians don't get much, despite the Bell Beaker ancestry, but none? Are the Portuguese different from Spaniards in that regard, because probably most analyses like that are done with Spaniards?

Salento using the Other Dodecad 12 coordinates that the Jovialis and the rest of the Eupedia team have put together. I get 23.57 using Dodecad K12B, I included the 2 Beakers that I get distances lower than the Beakers in the PuntDNAL. I think the calculator MTA uses gives me a 15 for the Sicilian_Bell Beaker. Thanks for the GEDMATCH tips and the Otzi Dodecad K12 coordinates.

Ok, really neat, so Otzi is relatively pretty close to those Sicilian samples from the paper that came out earlier this year.
