China is on a massive public relations offensive. I don't give a crap so long as they send the supplies, but don't let's forget the realities here. I'm not going to forget they hid the truth from the world, a DELIBERATE action, not a mistake or chance, and even punished their own doctors who were trying to blow the whistle on the new and different pneumonia scans they were seeing. I have a really long memory for every deliberate injury to me or mine, and so should everybody else.

They also want access to our ports and infrastructure. That's what some of the recent agreements have been about. Don't be naive.

N95 is better than N99 for medical purposes. There have been a few articles about it.

KN95 is bigger holes than KN99, how this can be?
KR100 costs 0.2-0.6 E lasts 8 hours of full wear and is much better,
P100 simple costs 0.6-1 E and can be worned till 72 hours from first worn
problem, simple masks are not reusable,
P100 textile with respirator costs a little bit, but reusable if you have spare filters,
ok P100 with filters is just working mask

Italians already used 3D printers to make a part for a ventilator. There's an open source link below with plans for 3D N95 masks. The materials would have to be sourced, of course.

If you know anyone who is doing 3D printing, put them on it, and also call the Health Dept office for Lombardia, or if the latter is too much red tape, call the hospital where they used the ventilator part which was 3D produced. They might be able to put you in touch with the guys who made the ventilator part.

I'm putting the word out to all my contacts.

You son of a gun! You're one up on me. I can't get one now until April 5th.

Where have they been all my life? Even before Coronavirus I hated the thought of how my phone and laptop were probably crawling with germs.

One good thing about all this: all the filthy people are finally going to clean their houses. Christ, sometimes I don't want to touch anything or take off my shoes in other people's houses. "House proud" sort of disappeared for some sectors of the population. Women were supposed to be proud of the fact they never cleaned. I don't care which of you does it; just get it done! YUCK!

The President of Brazil said that the governors are attacking his absence of leadership in the coronavirus crisis because they are concerned about the 2022 elections, which are a long way away.

Italy is famous for its dressmaking, and especially N Italy, surely can produce with cotton and microfiber filter, or with chemical papper,
As long as you are in limited inside house, you do not need millions masks,
the only masks needed are for hospitals workers and medicine,

think what your goverment can do,

"[h=2]Abstract[/h]Outbreaks of influenza represent an important health concern worldwide. In many cases, vaccines are only partially successful in reducing the infection rate, and respiratory protective devices (RPDs) are used as a complementary countermeasure. In devising a protection strategy against influenza for a given population, estimates of the level of protection afforded by different RPDs is valuable. In this article, a risk assessment model previously developed in general form was used to estimate the effectiveness of different types of protective equipment in reducing the rate of infection in an influenza outbreak. It was found that a 50% compliance in donning the device resulted in a significant (at least 50% prevalence and 20% cumulative incidence) reduction in risk for fitted and unfitted N95 respirators, high-filtration surgical masks, and both low-filtration and high-filtration pediatric masks. An 80% compliance rate essentially eliminated the influenza outbreak. The results of the present study, as well as the application of the model to related influenza scenarios, are potentially useful to public health officials in decisions involving resource allocation or education strategies."
