    MDLP results of 19 Sioux Native Americans

    All of these 19 are Sioux from both Dakotas. Note that "Mesoamerican" component in this calculator is based on Pima from Arizona (IIRC) and "North-Amerind" on Athabaskans and other Canadian tribes. So it makes sense for the Sioux to get ca. 50/50 proportions of these two components:

    These are my results. It is logical that the Sioux, being an North American tribe, have a greater component of that subcontinent. But in my case, my Amerindian component must be South American, for an obvious question of probability. I don't understand why my North American component is higher ...

    I'm surprised there isn't more European admixture in the Sioux. I think it would be different for the Eastern tribes like the Algonquins, Ojibway etc.

    Of course, all those "Euro" like components add up to Northwest Europeans.

    I wondered about that as well. Great work Tomenable. You must have quite a data collection by now.
